No major new reservoirs have been built in England since water privatisation in 1989 (Carsington was finished in 1992 but was started before privatisation). In the 35 years before privatisation, 100 reservoirs were built inc. 30 exceptionally large drinking water reservoirs.

It is astonishing and upsetting how, not long ago, we had massive reservoirs of all the world's information in our pockets, and now, shitty rich people have poisoned those reservoirs. And now it's just a fucking mess.
According to satellite images, all reservoirs of 50,000 m³ were destroyed at Perm pumping station in Russia.
Each of these reservoirs could store about 314,000 barrels of oil. The reservoirs themselves are very large (see second image for an idea on their size).
