This is a reworked verse/poem from last year. Why? I printed out all my work the other day, and am now going through each one, categorising them. Phew! Interesting to see the evolution of my work. Thought I might play with some.

Image: Dark clouds span the horizon. To the left is a headland, upon it stands a lighthouse, light from the lighthouse is shining in the dark. Under the dark clouds, there is light amber coloured light coming from the rising sun. Above the clouds is a light blue sky. In the foreground is a steely, blue coloured ocean. Text: Fractures of Resolute Hope Not every day is bathed in sunlight Not every cloud has a sliver lining Not every moment is filled with joy Not every person has good intent Yet, every day a glimmer of potential a sliver of possibility a glow of promise Beckons Amidst the darkness of despondency heaviness of evaporated dreams The idea of ‘perchance’, germinates When life seems dark, tumultuous seek fractures created by resolute hope where the light unfailing, shines through © Aj d’Wit - 19 August 2026
