While preparing some Hittite teaching notes I've come across a new favourite minimal pair for contrastive gemination of resonants in Hittite:
a-ra-aš 'friend, colleague'
ar-ra-aš 'anus, butthole'

Okay, I slept on it and have come to the unfortunate conclusion that the early combat encounters in Control Resonant are actively bad. Maybe combat in general gets better as you go? Either way, Remedy really fumbled with the first few hours

Tracks that matter & have a special meaning for the game + the plot, people, events, Resonants… I never have had this much trouble leaving out something - this is kill-your-darlings industry, as some say. Almost 4 h of mayhem & beauty. Stuff redacted, because #controlresonant. @remedygames.com

I didn’t even realize that some of the resonants and even some of the locations in Resonant are optional because I have that thing where I can’t leave something unexplored in any game. It drives me crazy not knowing what I am missing.🧍🏽♀️

I haven’t progressed the main story mission in CONTROL:Resonant since the opening of the game 🤣. Just been exploring and side questing and killing Resonants.
