#Restoratively
Thinking about how there was a time when I used to post an annual invite for fellow activists I'd had conflicts with to reach out if they were interested in working through our difference constructively/restoratively. I can no longer do this bc too many people dream up bizarre parasocial shit.
having people write what amounts to fanfic about you when you reach a certain level of notoriety on social media has gotta be so weird. like, you're not even an actual celebrity. you're just someone posting. and ppl got whole fan canon written about your deal

This, so much. I truly can't quite comprehend anyone intentionally giving up one of the absolute best (and so wholly, restoratively human) things about parenthood.

…acknowledging &restoratively/justly responding to past & present settler-colonial genocidal practices is necessary to:

a) understand & change where we are now

b) stop doing settler-colonial genocide fuckery

Which requires us, i.ln part, to be honest about Columbus & our ongoing histories.

if you say "i slept like a baby", people assume that you slept peacefully and restoratively, whereas if you slept like an actual baby, you'd have shit the bed and woken up screaming

Saw the wicked @cynefins4c.bsky.social yesterday night. Beautiful melodic folk all in Welsh. I didn't understand the words, but the vibes were restoratively great.

@missmariapants.bsky.social you would love this.

hot take - I think if you make a business out of bragging about rape and human trafficking, we should get to skip the trial and just go straight to whatever, whether we are restoratively justiceing or permanently isolating you from society

I am restoratively not speaking his name, not reading any of the content, and giving nothing they do any credence.

We need SO much more permaculture. Food forests. Preferably focused on natives. Folks like The Land Institute are doing incredible work but so is your average smallholder permaculture farmer--find and support them! I grow over a ton of food every year, restoratively/organically, on <1 acre...

This entitles me to feel a brief shock of usefulness and to bask restoratively with a hot water bottle for a while in the silence of my own lair

(2/3) I think most restoratively minded people can at least agree it is good for society and for individuals if we, the public, allow for avenues of self-redemption where possible. Less certain are more challenging questions like: Do *victims* owe them that opportunity? When? How far does this go?

I've had a week of emotional compression, but today has more space. I'm trying to be mindfully, restoratively productive instead of giving into that internal pressure to "get caught up".

And if I let go of mindful productivity and take a nap this afternoon, that's fine too.
