I've been trying different N64 controllers while playing through Ocarina of Time for the first time. Began with a tight stick official pad, then gave one of our Retrofighters a try, and now for session three, I used this MakoPad 64.

I'm sorry to say the Retro Fighters D6 controller @castlemaniagames.bsky.social sells is 100% unusable. I'm disappointed because it feels good in your hands, the microswitch d-pad feels wonderful, but holding directions either drops inputs or gives incorrect ones. Do not buy this. #RetroFighters

The fruits over the past week of trading a bunch of pricier game duplicates to another scene bud after giving it a trial borrow: an RGB modified NTSC-J N64 with a bunch of controllers (prong pads both with tight sticks), expansion, rumble + memory packs, and a Krikzz X5 everdrive.💜

I like my RetroFighters xbox controller a lot but I do wish they'd taken a page from the OEM DVD playback kit adapter's book design-wise.

Here's a fun fact - if you have a RetroFighters BattlerGC Pro controller, the 2.4ghz dongle it has is actually PS3-compliant.
Plug it into the console and hold + & - to activate DInput and it'll work like a charm
So if you ever wanted to use your pro GC controller with a PS3 now you can lol
