I'm gonna have to break these up into separate parts.
1) I have a finished and edited MS waiting for an opening with an editor. It's called Cavern Clipper and it's a Science Fantasy Action Adventure with what I consider a nearly unique setting.

2) I have just started work on a new WIP, an Urban Fantasy about a half-dragon woman (doesn't know it yet) who takes a job at a mysterious manor to protect a class of very strange and otherworldly kids from a deadly threat.

The room was still dim, the air heavy with the scent of old magic, dried sweat, blood, and soil. The sheets beneath him were a tangled mess from the ordeal the night before. He didn’t care. Because Jerrik was still there. Flat on his back, one arm crooked above his head, mouth parted just enough to let out a soft, uneven breath. His hair was a mess. There was dirt dried onto his jaw and a line of blood on his shoulder that hadn’t come off yet. He looked like a disaster. He looked beautiful. Donovan didn’t move. Just watched him for a while, taking it in. The quiet. The weight of it. The fact that they were still here, and still themselves, even after all of it. Jerrik stirred eventually, not fully awake yet but shifting. His arm reached across the bed before his eyes opened, hand settling automatically against Donovan’s chest as he rolled toward him. There was a soft sound, a groan of acknowledgment maybe, but no words yet. After a moment Jerrik, eyes still closed and voice weak, asked, “You good?” Donovan grinned, watching his face. “Fuck, babe. That... that was the hottest thing you’ve ever done. Let’s do it again.” Jerrik’s voice was rough with sleep. “I’m not sure it’s possible for us to be more bound forever.” Donovan raised a sly eyebrow. “I’m willing to try.” Jerrik cracked one eye open. “I’m exhausted. And you’re insufferable.” Donovan shrugged and stretched, satisfied. “Yup. But I’m yours.”

Charis Altonis, Field Biologist and The god Plague

I, the Jury x Outbreak (sort of)

Eventually intended as about 1/4 of a novel about the exploits of a bio-detective.
Text image: Charis escapes to the nearest sector capitol with a bizarre artifact--the Hand of Brun--from the destruction of a colony of miners of a patriarchal sect by a mimetic plague. Soon, thousands of citizens of the capital fall victim to an even stranger disease, which causes them to exhibit extreme delusions of godhood. She learns that the god plague is a terrorist attack by an unknown group. The group wants her artifact, and destruction of all her data about the miners' fate. Charis has to learn how the two plagues are related, why the terrorists want the artifact, and how to stop the god plague before everyone on the planet exterminates each other in a vast holy war.
