Today's object return was to Bentley Foundation Museum, Oxford. This number 32 is from Tim Birkin's 1929 500-mile race at Brooklands. Made of Rexine, it received conservation to remove old cellotape and improve framing materials
It's was also given a light surface clean.

An early 1930s UK Columbia 202 Viva-Tonal Grafonola. The 202 was the top of Columbia’s mid tier gramophone offerings. Utilizing designs dated prior to the EMI merger with rival HMV, this model evolved through the 30s gradually incorporating HMV components until its retirement just before WWII.

Rayon! I'd forgotten all about Rayon. My late mother had clothes made from Rayon in the 1950s. And the interior panel of many car doors was covered in Rexine. Another one I'd forgotten about!
