Hello booklovers!

We are Pastei, an independent book research group, focussing on themes relating to the Low Countries. Please visit pastei.frl to learn more.

Est. on 4 Dec 2014, it only seemed befitting that on the 1st day of our 2nd decennial we leave the Muskito's and join the Blueskywalkers!

The pic is a detail of @tresoar.bsky.social Hs R 2, p. 95. Transl.: "The 3rd statute: if 1 of the 7 sealands choses to behave unlawfully – (e.g.) rob or kill people – (then) the 6 will force the 7th to get it to fare completely lawfully."

Juster (25/9) mocht ik út namme fan @tresoar en ûndersyksgroep #Pastei wat fertelle by de Omrop (Underweis, om 16:21) oer ús gearwurking mei de @tudelftme.bsky.social dy’t resultearre yn in artikel oer de #Richthofenkolleksje yn it wrâldferneamde Nature.

Always a massive privilege to be able to introduce the students in my @rug.nl #OldFrisian course to the MSS and incunabula in the #Richthofenkolleksje. They have been studying these texts in editions but the real thing is quite something else. @tresoar.bsky.social @unesconl.bsky.social

Perfect academic collab: @tudelftme.bsky.social & #Pastei worked on the #Richthofenkolleksje, @tresoar.bsky.social's medieval @unesconl.bsky.social heritage. Result: Frisian law from the #Ommelanden unveiled in 15C and 16C MSS by new HSI techniques. Read all about it! www.nature.com/articles/s40...
