Can someone that work in gamedev anticheat explain to me why linux not allowing ring0 access is a deal breaker? Last i checked cheat makers can't get ring0 access either?

further explanation: making it a core part of your identity is far more likely to lead to kernel panics or blue screens, as core components often directly interact with the kernel at security level ring0 and have elevated privileges

There's also the fact anticheat is just as much ANTI DEBUGGING than it is anticheat. A lot of debuggers run in ring0 as is hence why ring0 anticheat even needs to exist unfortunately

Theory: A new super-secure platform standard that happens to give MS and totally not any alphabet agencies ring0 access to your stuff, becomes the new requirement for Win12.
Bonus: It combines with requirements to never unplug or cover your webcam and-or microphone.
