I saw her exhibition Wāhine Toa: Women of Māori Myth’ as a teen and it was life changing! To see our Atua Wāhine pūrākau lining the walls of the public art galleries felt revolutionary (early 80s) - ātaahua rirerire! She has inspired generations of ringatoi wāhine. He ngākau pōuri. 🖤🤍♥️
