My current favorite vetbro is the one cheering mass DoD GS firings by citing waste by those "dicks" at CIF.

My dude,
1) they are dicks because they are mandated to reduce waste
2) less of them means longer lines, more old equipment reuse, and bigger "dicks."

Rinse, repeat for all USG functions.

Ohh that's a keeper to reuse for sure if it's easy enough to rinse out between uses

the aeropress is a wild business model. you can rinse off and reuse the filters. i remember reading the inventor said he got 60 uses out of one before his wife eventually threw it away. i still have about half of my starter ones and I've had it for 5 years next month
The Aeropress is (I say wistfully) a magical feat of engineering because it solves the coffee-making problem of pressure with a free resource: air. But it's a terrible consumer product because it's a one-off purchase. One will last decades.

Wrap them in cheese cloth first, pull it out when done and throw the whole thing away (or rinse, wash, reuse it if you want).

My parents were from the great depression, I would roll my eyes as a teen when my mom would rinse and reuse an aluminum foil sheet if it was still in good condition. Well guess what? I just recently found myself doing the same!!!

You can wash out rinse and reuse the ones for your body more than the ones for your face. Face washcloths I use once. Body washcloths generally go three times.

😆 .. keep em floating around in a barely filled bath tub or just reuse with no rinse?

🌱 And @springhouse.bsky.social Yes definitely. I stab the aluminum pans, mushroom trays, salad trays with a sharp knife, each corner. For any that held produce I wash with soap & water. If I reuse another season also wash with Comet (chlorinated kitchen cleanser, or 10% bleach works) & rinse well.😎

Noem is just as bad - she answers yes and no questions with nothing but rinse-and-reuse rhetoric. She also deliberately talks over everyone so they can't get a word in!

Trump Lies...

Rinse, Repeat, Reuse... Even MAGATS should realize they hear the same sewage drip from his mouth day-after-day, month-after-month, year-after-year. He's wasted his entire lifetime lying, cheating, failing, and hating. What a terrible existence.

Trying to reduce plastic waste in lab? Here's an easy way to clean pipette tips for reuse in molecular biology! 🧪

Put used pipette tips into slots of an empty tip box filled with dilute bleach, sodium hydroxide, and detergent. When rack is full, rinse with di water and autoclave.
A simple method to clean pipette tips for reuse in molecular biology
Reduce plastic waste in lab by cleaning and reusing pipette tips, without laboriously filling pipette tip boxes! Instead of discarding tips in the waste bin, "discard"…

Once the leaves are full, a simple rinse with water releases the carbon for storage or reuse. Each unit can absorb up to one ton of CO₂ per day, which is roughly what 36 cars produce.

I use this stuff and rinse it and reuse it again lol.

apropos of *gestures around*, i remember the 70s. govt cheese, white cans with black labels (generics), powdered milk, ziploc bag drying stands...

AS GOD IS MY WITNESS, I WILL NEVER DRINK RECONSTITUTED POWDERED MILK EVER AGAIN

(or rinse & reuse a ziploc, ugh!!)

Gluten free bread making sucks because there are so many ingredients.

When I make it, I always measure out three loaves’ dry ingredients and pop two into bags and freeze. (I reuse the bags — no need to rinse!)

Then the next two loaves, I just add the wet ingredients. So much simpler. 🍜🍽️

I bet she doesn’t even rinse out her ziploc baggies to reuse them!
