The council unanimously accepted an FAA Airport Infrastructure Grant offering up to $498,868 (95% federal share) to rehabilitate the Rio Vista Municipal Airport terminal parking lot and renovate terminal restrooms; the city’s local match is roughly 5% from the airport fund.

Kimley‑Horn consultants presented a draft Airport Layout Plan update and a recommended development plan for Rio Vista Airport, saying the FAA would likely fund rehabilitation of a reduced 3,700‑by‑60‑foot runway at an estimated cost just over $4 million; extending to the full 4,200 feet would add roughly $500,000 in local costs.
