This week's 12% drop was not a Stellar story. Bitcoin fell below $84k, $700M in futures got liquidated across crypto in 24 hours, and 10-year US bond yields are above 5%. Riskier assets sold off first. Stablecoin supply on Stellar actually went UP during the selloff.

Newer product means less legacy bulk to drag around. Making a systemic change to a decades-old behemoth with 100 expansions is more challenging AND riskier. Glad to see that they're treating WOWF beta as a beta instead of just a soft-launch.

You’re mixing several different issues together here, Trump, far-right politics, football corruption, and sovereign-debt risk. Bond investors mostly care about risk and return. If France looks riskier at current yields, they demand a higher interest rate to hold its debt.

Bigger thing is it's 2-4x more prevalent in men my age (46) than it was for our parents, due to worse diet (processed food) and a more sedentary lifestyle. Plus men engage in riskier alcohol/drug use which is a factor.
