The Village of Robbins board approved an intergovernmental agreement with Cook County, amendments to local ordinances, vendor contracts and a $293,044.95 warrant list; it also authorized tax-anticipation warrants under the county loan program and approved two street closures for community events.

Trustees tabled a recommended purchase of PDC safety cameras because a financial contract was not provided; a separate proposal for an eight-camera Flock Safety 60-day trial with a $22,000 post-trial payment was moved but the transcript does not record the vote outcome.

At a special Oct. 5 meeting the Robbins board unanimously swore in Jasmine Washington as village administrator; Washington called the role a "God led assignment" and said she will push for equitable, sustainable change while the board pursues union talks and public safety improvements.

Mc Laurin Development presented a range of economic-development concepts to Robbins trustees on Sept. 27, urging the village to pursue waterfront projects, a multimillion‑dollar grocery and industrial reuse while leveraging ARPA funds and state commitments; trustees heard updates that $1 million for village hall improvements had been secured and that roughly $7 million in DECO commitments remain to be released.

At the Oct. 24 Robbins board meeting trustees accepted the September treasurer's report ($455,136.09), approved a Midwest Salt purchase ($22,396.00) and authorized the September warrant list ($66,555.82); Mayor Darren E. Bryant also reported a $5 million executed grant for street lighting and corridor work.

Robinson Engineering told the Robbins board the lead service-line replacement program has replaced 85 lines, visited about 300 homes and used roughly $1.5 million; applications are still being accepted but the grant-funded program is scheduled to end Dec. 31.

Trustee Tiffany S. Robinson said she learned CEDA has $4 million available to help residents with water bills through September; the board also approved a temporary street closure for an April 8 Easter egg hunt and heard several resident concerns about trees and the community center.

Chief Sheppard proposed using an intergovernmental agreement and homeland-security funding to establish a village training office, an outdoor range and regional requalification resources; trustees referred the item to the Public Safety committee. Residents raised concerns about a denied building permit and reported gunfire that police described as fireworks.
