The whole "I'M MORE THAN A ROBOT, DIE WILY!" line was something added in the English localization and it's very much out of character for Mega Man to say. Yes he did raise his gun against Wily, but reading of that scene is loathsome acceptance that MM is bound by his limitations stuck in status quo

As a kid, I had the original Blurr toy but I didn't understand his helmet and I thought he was supposed to be a robot pharaoh.
The original Transformers toy of Blurr from 1986. Hal and some asshole wearing colorful racewalking outfits from that episode of Malcolm in the Middle. Hal is wearing a full bodysuit with red and yellow flame patterns, fancy sneakers, and a yellow bike helmet with a long, curved protrusion that looks like his helmet has a tail. Finally finished the 079 Mobile Suit Gundam series and I well and truly know what the fuss is about now.

It’s a show about the horror and pointlessness of war delivered via the medium of awesome giant robots, with literal decades of legacy that can’t be matched.

On to Zeta Gundam now I think!
