In 4 years we're about to see every library show up on some new site called like robothub dot md which is the same as a lib on github except (??? no real difference but now everyone can claim to have created this new kind of thing which is TOTALLY DIFFERENT than a library)
yaeh in my view we're about to see libraries vanish, engines vanish, all bespoke tools up and down the stack; and then everyone like 10 years from now will be like "I just invented this new thing, I'm calling it a reusable software module" and everyone will be like oh my god dude
I would wonder if the next frontier is bespoke, customized software matching each user’s workflow. Not one word processor but a thousand, a million. Each self-adapting to what you want.
