Found out during an interview with #RobRenzetti, is that he has considered creating a bluesky account, and that I also just found out that his Twitter account got hacked back in February (he's trying to get it back), but hopefully in the next few months he will be on bluesky, no guarantees though.

My villain OC, Geryon The Manifestation of Fraudulence in The Malebolge, decided to rip-off quite a few IPs from multiple universes, just so he can make himself an arch-nemesis of Jenny Wakeman from My Life as a Teenage Robot.

Apparently it wasn't intentional... but I agree, it's very much there. Probably because the struggle for self-identity is a thing everyone goes through, it's just more exaggerated for some of us.

A screenshot of a Twitter post by Rob Renzetti (@RobRenzetti), in reply to one by Celia (@Evilagram)

Celia posted: @RobRenzetti Hey, a lot of people need to know, was this intended to reference the Transgender Pride Flag? Were the themes of the show intended to be a parallel to transgender experiences?

To which Rob responded: There was no intentional transgender subtext but that doesn't mean the subtext isn't there. Art is open to the audience's interpretation. I'm pleased that Jenny's struggles resonate with some members of the transgender community.

"But she didnt mean for it to be a trans narrative"

I'm reminded of what the creator of my life as a teenage robot said about his series having Trans parallels

Gotta apologize to the goat RobRenzetti for butchering XJ9 haha,

Such a great character design that has been reapproached by countless artists all over the world. Says a lot.

💭When addressing identity headcanons of characters, creators do have some responsibility on *how* they approach. One of the better examples is Rob Renzetti of MLAATR fame, who said that while Jenny was not written with it in mind, the coding and inherent nature of art makes transness a valid reading

A tweet from Rob Renzetti that reads: "There was no intentional transgender subtext but that doesn't mean the subtext isn't there. Art is open to the audience's interpretation. I'm pleased that Jenny's struggles resonate with some members of the transgender community."

He is responding to another twitter user, "Celia @Evilagram", who asks:

not a song, but Rob Renzetti, creator of My Life as a Teenage Robot, said very much the same about fans identifying Jenny, the protagonist robot, as trans:
