The Revillagigedo Archipelago lies in the vast Pacific Ocean. The marine protected area around these islands teems with biodiversity and is the largest fully protected marine reserve in North America. Deemed an ocean oasis, these waters are home to a thriving ecosystem where aggregations of sharks, rays, whales, dolphins, fish, turtles and more can be found at a convergence of two ocean currents. Filmed at Roca Partida, the smallest of the volcanic islands in this archipelago, this underwater scene reminds us of the conservation value of protected areas in our oceans.
