The Lycian Rock Tombs of Dalyan an engineering feat of it's day. However, here for the Purple Heron & watched 12 fly overhead when out dining. My plan, to capture one. I need a human with a boat for a lone journey through the Dalyan Delta & Lake Köyceğiz. 🇹🇷

This is for you, @phyllida.bsky.social, the Rock Tombs at sunset. Also have a set of images of ancient Kaunos in Dalyan which I think you might find of interest. Not yet processed but home on Monday. All the best x.

Also looks like work on 1st century #Edessa #RockTombs in #Urfa's old town's progressing. Fond memories of exploring these caves years ago.

From the #travel #journal: first century AD #RockTombs in #Sanliurfa's old town, SE #Turkey. Bathing in the afternoon sun.

Another quick sketch from the travel journal (#watercolour pencils): 1st century #RockTombs in #Edessa (now Sanliurfa,Turkey).
