Watching @samprocrastinates.bsky.social play FNF Rodentrap for the first time having no clue it's a Sonic.EXE mod is one of the funniest things i've ever seen, his reaction to finding out it's actually a EXE mod was so freaking funny

although i haven't seen a lot of these mods, i will at least say after seeing at least like 2 of them: i love when mods replicate styles or poses for characters or media. MCM and 2 other Spongebob mods recreated the art style VERY well, Rodentrap looks very Adventure esque, and now this.

This community is so starved of regular Sonic content that when Sonic Legacy first released as "RodentRap," it fooled EVERYONE that just wanted a regular Sonic mod
This stupid bloody bitch has left such a deep scar on the community, not even completely unrelated mods are safe from him

oh yea another thing! the rodentrap section WAS meant to ACTUALLY have lyrics sang by @landy.rs ! they just never ended up getting used for reasons that get explained in the video. can you guess what theyre referencing?

this is just a sketch representation of it, but before the rodentrap bit was made, SONIC'S SECTION in trinity wouldve actually sort of resembled free4me instead! not drawn exactly like in here, but pose-wise n such it wouldve been like it.

the full assets of RODENTRAP sonic that i did for its section. here you can see they actually used the ORIGINAL PALETTE FROM LEGACY! in final the coloring got slightly changed to a reddish hue to fit the environment better.

VERY early version of rodentrap BF's sprites. we simplychanged them because they didnt nail the style as well as wed liked. so i never worked on them further until the final version.

originally, the RODENTRAP bit wasnt intended as that, but together me and spring decided that it wouldve fit more with the mods direction,
before switching, the rodentrap bit wouldve actually been a simple PIXELATED SONIC 1 STYLED THING being in green hill as seen on the yt visualizer of encore!

I mean eh. The art is very offputting, X looks fine but BF and GF just look plain bad. The song is good but generic and the presentation is just RodentRap 2 (and worse)

Since we have longer videos now, figured I go ahead and drop this cover I did of Free-4-Me from the RodentRap FNF mod!
Nowhere near a voice actor/vocalist, but just felt like doing this for fun several months ago cuz I really like the vocals. 😅
OG Vocalist: @landy.rs
Composer: churgney gurgney
