The reddit sub has good writeups about it.

What gets me is apparently RARE2028 hadn't even *locked down* the date or the venue when the new event *did do themselves* & well, that appears to have kicked it all off.

wtf is “advanced vocabulary” in a sierra simone book 😭💀
screenshot from the romance books subreddit about beef with books this week and has 9 upvotes. their post says: The amount of advanced vocabulary in {devil by Sierra Simone} is off putting. I say this as a PhD candidate. It's not about the inconvenience of defining a word every other page. I question how appropriate every word is in the context. It's not just words niche to FMC's profession. Outside of that I'm like is this really the right word here??? Some of them are STRETCHES. it reminds me of what l'd do in 7th grade: look up synonyms for every word and switch them so l sounded smarter. But just because a word is a synonym doesn't mean it's actually the best word for the sentence.

Getting really specific there were 28 Dukes over the course of the regency er, I think 28 Million Regency Era Dukes in fiction over the last 200+ years is frankly a conservative estimate

By this Reddit thread there were 6 youngish unmarried Dukes in the whole period

The person replying to Cassie Carter, Cassie Alexander (raising my eyebrows all the way up at this Cassie repetition) specializes in paranormal romance and has much more presence. According to this Reddit discussion, she has recently admitted to AI use: www.reddit.com/r/RomanceBoo...
