Felt poetic, might burst into tears later.

Morning, Star by Bennett Goodman I called her my Morning Star, A name that glowed where shadows are. The second star that lightened the skies, Born of inside jokes and shared goodbyes. She lit my nights with gentle fire, A warmth that stilled my own desire. Her voice, her laughter, soft and free, An entire galaxy, she gave to me. But stars can burn, their light a lie, A fleeting spark before they die. Her glow turned sharp, a blade unseen, A love that cut where it had been. Her eyes once soft, now coldly stare, A chasm deep, a void laid bare. The sweetest monster, a cruel disguise, Beneath the dawn, the darkness lies. Now Morning Star, you fall from grace, Your orbit lost, your time, your place. I reach for you, but grasp the night The star is gone, and so is the light. Then why is it I still search for your hand in the dark?
