There is so much stuff happening in this piece outside of my art comfort zone, but I'm determined to start drawing more than just portraits. 🥴 Unfortunately, that means this is taking way longer than I had hoped and will end up being the only piece I finish for this week.

I Tego Arcana Ren is an exploration of what it takes for a bond to break, and whether it can truly be rebuilt.

I have one thing in the works for #RombricWeek that I don’t like and might scrap so I’m going to repost something I wrote earlier. I’m still quite proud of the dialogue here.

The opening paragraph of the fic: Lorynna insisted that she be able to do his hair for him. While Rommath was perfectly capable of pulling his hair back into a basic ponytail by himself—he did it every day—he allowed her to. Tonight was special. He needed to look polished. Professional. The Grand Magister always made a point of appearing at the university’s Midsummer Ball for a few minutes, and Rommath was determined to find a way to introduce himself. Since he had to look his best, and his older sister was always so well put-together, he let her do his hair.
