This Holy Cross Day (which I learned is aka Roodmas, how cool) I’m thinking about how I wouldn’t be Christian if I hadn’t confronted the cross at a Young Life camp 14 years ago and thought, “if Jesus really did this for me, and he’s God, then everything changes.” It has.

B/c the US was mostly filled with radical Protestants when it was settled you don't get the medieval/ancient festivals like Roodmas, Michaelmas, or Martinmas celebrated here with a lot of pomp.
