Page 6 roughdraft! I may change the dialogue a bit... and the look of it a bit more... I think I'd like it to be even more stylized? Ack! Decisions...

Purple gradient background with white text on top: "You must find a child. Born to adversity...or a marriage of strife. A commoner or merchant class, maybe noble but lives like a commoner? Or a commoner who becomes noble. This is a child of two faces, a child of two names. Maybe more. You must find this child. Raise this child. They will be your greatest weapon against your enemy. They will end his life, his clan, his legacy." Excerpt: "The Prophecy" #Wuxia #Cdrama #WIP by Author Leslie Kung

Happy to say for a first draft on my new WIP I'm really happy with the overall word flow and tone.

It’s a reasonable assumption that most children are entirely unaware if their family is normal or not. If mom styles her curls so high and so strong to house an apiary for wood bees. If dad fashions his beard in robust loops to hang the house keys on. If any of that were true then a child might well and truly think that that was all quite rational, and perhaps even a touch boring. Now there is the possibility of the opposite. Of a child seeing that very much their family marched to a different set of drums. All children are in the same boat after all. Scientists with incomplete data in a world without their say so. A second kind of child would be quite aware that things behind their family’s closed door was different from the rest. Hannah Harp, of the famous Lyres for Liars, was a prime example of the child in the latter category.

I'm struggling with this right now. I *know* what I'm writing isn't working. I have an idea of how to fix it... But I'm so paralyzed by the "this sucks ass" knowledge that I'm stuck. I haven't written anything significant in a few days.

A post by Sam Sykes: A cool thing about writing is that the better you get at it, the more you're aware of what you want out of it, which means it gets harder, which means you actually feel like you're getting worse. And by "cool thing," I mean "what the fuck, man"

Just released RoughDraft 0.4.4:

Added support for Audio/Video Trim, Interlace/Deinterlace, Audio Compressor, and Biquad filters

Use #ffmpeg in #PowerShell and tab complete instead of guessing at filter syntax:

Here is an extremely rough conceptualization of a redesign of one of my old characters. You can’t tell what a lot of it is yet since it hasn’t been fleshed out, a lot of it is still different action lines. Any suggestions for finishing are welcome!
