FATE, for example, *could* reduce all of the Star Wars saga to one roll, but it could also spend ten sessions on one fight like a Naruto plot, lol
I like flexibility.

i have started playing 5e D&D again after a hiatus of a couple of years playing indie ruleslight games w friends and am currently exploring how nva and de-escalation can fit within the D&D mileu, both by refusing to be violent and maybe also in ending others’ violence. My DM is totally up for it.

maybe the latter is stepping outside of traditional osr/nsr ways too, certainly one lart of this design is i want to do the ruleslight games i know but BIG. I want trad game as designed by a NSR fucker. maybe thats weird? but i like experimenting.
