Movie TV Tech Geeks #MovieFeatures #RunSilentRunDeep #BurtLancaster If You Like 'Crimson Tide,' You Need to Check Out This Tense Submarine Two-Hander Starring Clark Gable and Burt Lancaster

I just watched Run Silent, Run deep for the first time and the seasoned captain pulling strings to replace the hoping-to-be-promoted commander echoes the Decker/Kirk relationship so closely in ST:TMP. No surprise, I guess, as Robert Wise directed both! #startrek #runsilentrundeep #2silent2deep

#RunSilentRunDeep cme out in 1958. 23 years later #DasBoot came across the #AtlanticOcean to tell the other side of the story, complete with subtitles.the Feature was picked up by HBO in the early days of #CableTV and the rest was... well, you know #Seacruisin'

To Films stand at the top of the heap for #SubmarineMovies [with all due respet to #TomClancy's #HuntforRedOctober] #RunSilentRunDeep directed by Legend #RobertWise &written by #JohnGay and our feature #DasBoot told from the German #UBoat perspective.

#allStarTrek: Saw #battleshipdown again(1995)Reminded me of #balanceofterror (1966),& countless #ww2 story lines. #RunSilentRunDeep (1958)Inspired the #tos. I still have issues with how this & many #ds9's #soap structure. Revisited for #StrangeNewWorlds 2022's #AQualityofMercy" I haven't scene yet..

Empfohlen!
