They should make Anti Dollars that take money away from you like the Rupoors from Zelda

One is Linebeck giving Link a key after shaking him like crazy, the jingle modulates to match Link stumbling like crazy. One is Link going to hold the sea chart above his head but the chest was empty so the jingle abruptly ends lmao. The other gag way later is rupoors, Link looks DISGUSTED at them.

He's selling rupoors off as black sapphires, and vanishing. The gemstones would eventually disappear, and take the equivalent of 10 rupees worth of currency.

"Hehehehe. It's not much, but it's good money."

Yikes, Rupoors.

Do rupoors affect Saint Quartz? That would be fun to test!

I forgot this was when they introduced Rupoors before Skyward Sword 👀

ㅤㅤ•° if he dares to curse her with getting rupoors every time she cuts grass she will hunt him down.
ㅤㅤ
Remind the deity to curse her for selling him in the future.

Sell.

As interesting as he is, she'd rather have someone else be the victim of his chaos ...

10. There’s an opposite to the ruppee, which actually takes money from you. It’s called the Rupoor. zelda.fandom.com/wiki/Rupoor
Rupoor
Rupoors are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][note 1] Rupoors are usually found hidden under Rocks and grass in Four Swords. If one of the Links picks one up, a random amount of Rupees...

One of the curiosities of Zelda lore which I've always found fascinating is that money appears to be backed by magic, or somehow, rupees can be spent as a magical currency by artifacts. As well as the (rare) existence of "rupoors" which can automatically debit you if you accidentally pick one up.

The look Link gives his ocarina when he learns a new song in Ocarina of Time. It's very much a "what the hell?" face and it makes me laugh every time I see it.

Second place goes to the Rupoors in Wind Waker.

Rupoors were such a funny item. Just don't pick it up, Link
September 13, 2026 at 10:49 PM
She's gonna have to mail him a bunch of Rupoors.
womp.
Imagine stealing from hard working people.

Couldn't be her.

"Rupees," She corrects her, turning her head to face her. "And yeah, each color is a different amount. Green's the baseline, then ya got blue, red, purple, silver 'n then gold."

"Oh, and don't pick up the black ones, they eat rupees. We call 'em 'Rupoors'"
"Ruppes? Those are those..gems right? The pointy ones?"

Yeah, she didn't sound like she had a lot of them, sitting next to the ranch girl.

"I'm pretty broke..the few I've found were just lost in the fields."
"It ain't that big a deal. We got a space open, and ya need one ta stay at."

She walks over to the sofa, sitting down on it, smiling back at Hayami.

"Ain't like rentin' an inn with whatever money you got on ya is gonna work. We take Rupees in this world."

Woe! Rupoors in your coffers!
July 26, 2026 at 10:21 AM
if a youtuber makes a "deep dive" about the rupoors in Skyward Sword & tries to explain that "Rupoor is an antimatter version of Rupees and LOZ is a vastly more complex series!!"

then I have given up on the internet, media literacy is self deprecating, this is MatPat's fault
February 28, 2026 at 10:12 AM
" and rupoors. And the gems. "
January 25, 2026 at 1:09 AM
" I eat rupoors for breakfast! They got a fruity taste to them. "

Digging around in the pot. Well what do you know. It's a rupoor. Crunch munch.
Another roll away from said pot.

"This fucking tradition is getting old. You think those rupees magically go in there? I hope you find a rupoor in the next one, Kishin!"
" Thousands upon thousands of Links breaking pots and I will continue that trend. "

Another pot.

Link joined squid games after unfortunately having a streak of only Rupoors
February 12, 2025 at 7:26 PM
also fuck rupoors
December 29, 2024 at 3:01 AM
Rupoors were actually introduced in Four Swords before Phantom Hourglass, but instead of varying from 10-50, the amount stayed at losing 10.
Seeing Link upset never gets old though🤣
