Finally got a chance to visit a technical session at #SC24. Interesting challenges for RISC-V adoption but isn't LLVM the obvious choice to build a compiler tool chain? Alongside that maybe SYCL can complement the open standard ISA for general purpose programming for many core processors?

Sharing this follow-up to the RISC-V Ubuntu/Orange PI RV2 panic: While not quite a full solution, this week someone posted that they successfully got Ubuntu 25.10 running in a container by emulating the missing RVA23 features.
Someone managed to get Ubuntu 25.10 working on the RV2 in a container. It seems you can get it working with a modified OpenSBI.
