As someone who does both, the crime is not just the texturing - the overall base model shapes feel wrong. It doesn't have the same harmonious flow and rythm as the 2D does, there's a stiffness to it even before rigging/blendshapes & does not capture the distinctive squish/weight effectively.

I painted this watercolor.
"Waters Edge"
Water has a unique mystical way. Thr visual of the ebb and flow of life.
Nature calms my body, mind and spirit. A refuge from human chaos. Nature has a rythm of balance. #ArtYear #ArtbyLauraMcseaton #nature #water #watercolorart #art

Good poetry has a strong sense of rythm and flow, and uses words in a way to highlight intent and emotion. If you pay close attention to how poets do that you can improve your own flow and emotive prose.
Mattie gave me this exact advice a while ago and it has massively improved my work.

How tf DreTL win over Jay Taj. That was some bullshit. Dude could have left in any round. I guess to win Rythm + flow you just gotta yell "Nobody" over and over. What a fkn waste. No doubt Jay Taj gonna get signed and have a better career though.

The ups and downs of life ebb and flow; two steps forward, one step back.. hey look we're dancing.

Read what you're writing out loud. Many people's internal monologue have no sense of rythm or flow. That's a skill that has to be learned. It also helps you find errors in your writing. Try reading passages out to someone you trust, that they can identify things you might have missed.
Writers: what’s a solid piece of *craft* advice you wish you’d known sooner?
Mine is this: when making writing decisions, always stop and ask yourself what is best for the SCENE. What are the scene’s goals? Does this sentence, this paragraph, this line of dialogue serve those goals? If not, fix it.
