The #KozaRiot broke out on #ThisDayInHistory in 1970 in #Okinawa, #Japan, in anger over regular, unpunished abuses of civilians at the hands of US soldiers. 5000 residents fought troops & burnt shit. US controlled the #RyukyuIslands from 1945-1972 and still has large bases there.

M5.5 quake in the Ryukyu Islands on Dec 30.
The epicenter is approximately 165 km from the prediction line, within 250 km of which I had already predicted M5.5+ quakes during Dec 25 to Jan 5.

A new tropical depression has formed in the Philippine Sea & will track northwestward before turning northeast this weekend. This depression will likely become Tropical Storm #Nakri in the next day or two & can impact the #RyukyuIslands Friday night into Sunday, JST.
