Spotted on my evening walk last night: Strophurus spinula, AKA the lesser thorn-tailed gecko.
This species was only described for the first time last year, having been split from from S. assimilis following genetic analysis by researchers from the WA museum.

The head and front legs of a pale grey gecko, hanging out on red dirt among some dry vegetation. It has a rather stunning large, round, orange eye, dappled with grey and with a vertical slit pupil. A bird's eye view of a grey gecko on red dirt. It has a wide, wavy dark grey dorsal spine and a mottle appearance. If you look very closely, you can see small spines running down its back, onto its tail.
