For me it was a surprisingly fun read that ultimately reminded me of the SafeTrack days and the "Is the Red Line on fire?" + "UnsuckDCMetro" accounts that the pandemic and job/commute changes wiped from my memory.

I get that it hit different for you. But I don't think that means it was not "fair."

Feel for you guys. That sucks. I had to do that shit for 3 months when the DC Metro did SafeTrack improvements. On the plus side, the Metro has been really reliable since they did that. Almost never see single tracking anymore. But damn do the buses add so much time to your commute.

People in the DMV like to gripe about the wmata, but I think it's one of the best systems in the country. It very clean, they're always expanding it (yay Purple Line) and it's become way more reliable since SafeTrack. I can't even remember the last time I had a train delayed.

I do hope Metro remembers it's a marathon, not a sprint. One good day of Safetrack is no guarantee.
