Legacy studios like Disney, Warner, Universal and Paramount have very little in common with Netflix, Apple, Amazon or even Sony. A long strike is devastating to the former while helping the latter gain an advantage over their "allies."

The AMPTP shouldn't even exist in 2023.

Royalties/residuals from streaming services are basically nonexistent. And they keep viewing numbers secret; Netflix is notorious for keeping them secret even from the companies that actually made the movie/show.
