#SB181
Thanks for the coverage!

SB181 and SB184 = 👎👎👎 Ask an actual librarian, and you'll hear the same thing!

We support lifelong learning, civic engagement, and accountability. I'm afraid these bills create more problems rather than solutions. #arpx #arleg #arnews

SB181 from Luz Escamilla would include traditional Native medicine for reimbursement for those with Medicaid — providing a waiver for the first time for that type of specialized care.
For the first time, traditional Native healing services could be covered under Medicaid for Utah’s tribes
Medicaid in Utah doesn't currently cover traditional Native healing services. But that could soon change here — and the hope is that it would expand care for tribal members.

“#SB181, authored by Sen. Lincoln Fillmore, would also define what qualifies as a parking space and make it so local governments can’t require spaces to be larger than certain dimensions. It would not stop local governments from requiring on-site parking.”

SB181 would remove educational requirements for library directors in Arkansas, allow for the installation of political agents in library management positions, and dramatically decrease funding for Arkansas's libraries. via @everylibrary.bsky.social

SB181 seeks to remove educational requirements for library directors in Arkansas.

This would allow for the installation of political agents in library management positions and politicize our libraries.

We deserve better.

This morning’s earthquake is a stark reminder of the dangers fracking poses to community safety. When I worked in the legislature, I worked hard to pass SB181, which gave local governments some ability to protect local communities. On council, I’ll make sure we do so.

Today, a House committee will consider @mikemckellutah's SB181, which allows a transportation authority to charge political candidates $15 for each campaign sign they fail to take down from roadways.

I wonder if a certain candidate for SLCO Clerk will be paying attention?
