The votes on SB30 and SB185 have not taken place yet (see link) but online liberals are happy to throw trans folks under the bus if it means they can get in a shot at socialists.

what I suspect is happening here is that Atlanta DSA is quite deliberately conflating two different bills, one of which (sb30) bans trans care for Georgia minors and one of which (sb185) stops trans care in Georgia prisons.

Elena Parent is my state senator--my Indivisible group works with her frequently. We contacted her office about the video, which was manipulated to misrepresent her views.
She plans to vote NO on SB30 and offer an amendment to SB185 so that hormone therapy would be covered for convicted inmates.

FWIW her office says she will vote no on banning kids TG healthcare (SB30) but yes on ban for prisoners (SB 185).

Interesting split in Senate GOP on ending the data center tax exemption. Obenshain wants to keep the exemption on this $ trillion industry (boo hoo, they’re going to locate elsewhere if we don’t subsidize them to trash our water, hinder clean energy goals, etc.)
