He also vetoed the bill to rein in pollution exemptions for "advanced manufacturing"(SB954) that he and @scottwiener.bsky.social slipped into the 2025 budget bill on behalf of their tech & VC patrons. Wiener voted repeatedly against the bill but voted in concurrence with the Assembly
I'm so glad he did this so that cishet white people know how terrible he is before he runs for president. Because they were never going to take the word of someone different from them.
The State AGs were on pace to kill the Paramount/Warner Bros by litigation and delay until Gavin Newsom stepped in and turned the tide. Now the Trump loyalist Ellisons will control CNN and HBO. Don't ever, ever forget that Newsom stabbed us in the back

Communities, particularly those that have already borne the heaviest burden of industrial pollution, have a right to know what is being built near them and what it means for their families’ health. #SB954 restores that right.
