On the final day of #SBSTTA26, delegates adopted nine recommendations to the Conference of the Parties on risk assessment and risk management, synthetic biology, marine and coastal issues, biodiversity and health, the Global Biodiversity Framework, and living modified organisms, among others.

Delegates at #SBSTTA26 tried to make progress on the more controversial items in the agenda, meeting late on:

• synthetic biology
• marine and coastal biodiversity
• monitoring framework for Global Biodiversity Framework
• biodiversity and health

Delegates further addressed links between biodiversity and health, giving mixed views on the revised draft plan of action
