The monster of SCOTUS's creation.

SCOTUS's ruling came just hours after Desperate Don begged the court to set aside 20,000 mail-in ballots he had ZERO EVIDENCE were fraudulent.

Trump won't stop trying to rig the election, and we won't stop fighting until the USA rides The Great #BlueWaveInOneDay to victory!

Some people seem to be assuming that this observation is directed towards the justices. It isn’t! It’s directed to people who don’t follow the shadow docket and therefore might not already know the extent of SCOTUS’s culpability
The Supreme Court had the opportunity to stop third-country removals, and it refused. Whatever happens to these people will be on the majority’s head.
The people running our country are sick.

1926: SCOTUS's Euclid v. Ambler ruling let cities zone entire neighborhoods for single-family homes only. Result: ~75% of LA's residential land is zoned exclusively for single-family houses today. That's not a housing shortage. It's a housing ban, written into law.

It's particularly interesting because, as Eric points out, expedited removals are at odds with SCOTUS's arch-formalist separation of powers doctrine. Yet, that inconsistency is beneficial to the GOP's immigration policy.

The Constitution says nothing about presidential immunity & that's how it should be. One task ahead of us is undoing SCOTUS's Trump v. USA ruling. youtu.be/ZQcYdta28Bc

At oral argument in one of the cases Essayli said election officials might have aiding/abetting liability for anyone who violates 611.

That's a hell of a theory, and runs counter to SCOTUS's recent limiting of aiding and abetting liability.

In other words, this is not a reasonable investigation.

Number one is SCOTUS's lawless immunity ruling that enabled all the others.

I was finishing my first year of practice in Phoenix. I knew people who knew O'Connor. Hard to say whether I was more disillusioned by SCOTUS's naked lawlessness, or by discovering that my Republican colleagues were dishonorable to the last.

Thank goodness this didn't have merit, even by SCOTUS's currently low standards.

Democracy teetering on the freaking brink. It's so crazy.

Supreme Court Rejects Trump Administration Request to Intervene in California Ballot Case (Gift Article)
The court’s ruling came just hours after administration lawyers asked the justices to immediately order California to set aside 20,000 mail-in ballots.

That's not how any of that works. CU is out of SCOTUS's hands now. Only a Constitutional Amendment gets rid of it. SCOTUS has already decided and they don't re-adjudicate rulings they've already made because they've been shamed into it.

Please take a civics class. This is getting tiresome.

This is why the Times’ exposure of SCOTUS’s secret Clean Power memos is so telling. Roberts is always claiming in public to police the boundary between Articles I & II. But in private, he’s most angry that Article I didn’t give Article III a veto. It’s always about their own power, always.

The real problem is there is too much money being spent in politics thanks to SCOTUS's bone-headed Citizens United decision. Take away the funding and all this garbage will slow to a trickle.

Telling a reporter that he expects a person seeking a pardon to donate to his library is smoking gun evidence of public corruption that easily satisfies even SCOTUS’s ridiculously elevated standards.

One of SCOTUS's worst decisions: Corporations are people. Sure they are.

Do they see the law? Or do they see the handwriting on the wall that subservience to Trump will lead to a swift end to this current SCOTUS’s composition?

Given no dissents, my money is on the latter.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court just dealt Trump a major election-eve defeat, swiftly rejecting his regime's attempt to force California to set aside ballots allegedly cast by noncitizens. The justices didn't even ask California to respond. No dissents.

If Congress changes hands, expect potential battles over executive power, presidential vetoes, federal spending, and congressional oversight. Add SCOTUS's presidential immunity ruling, and the stakes for institutional accountability become even greater.

(many people get upset with SCOTUS’s rulings but like….this is the exact logic they employ when scrutinizing 14th amendment and other equal rights amendments so they are not as ahistorical as ppl think but the streets are not ready for that conversation)
November 2, 2026 at 2:30 PM
Ugh, now he's saying that California would have "aiding and abetting liability" if they knowingly counted votes by non-citizens, which (a) is inapplicable and (b) does not correspond with how a&a liability works, and he should read SCOTUS's Taamneh and Cox v. Sony decisions (written by Thomas!)
Essayli says this is the list "we believe most strongly in."

Why do people think the outcome of Garland charging trump earlier would have changed what Judge Cannon would have done?

The only thing that would have happened is she would have freed him earlier, and SCOTUS's immunity ruling would have been moved up a year or two.
