New on the #scpwiki: a case of mistaken identity puts GAW's Wren Masterson in the crossfire between a pair of monster hunters and an army of Illuminati vampires. It's "The Eventide Incident", a new chapter in The Eternal MxTape! scp-wiki.wikidot.com/the-eventide...

whether or not it happened in this specific case, LLMs are very obviously capable, with some light human editing, of writing articles that meet the standards of the median scpwiki voter. anyone who cares about keeping AI off the site should support harsh quality control

As per AV Club reporting: SCP Wiki Staff have not heard from V/H/S or A24 about this film.

The Creative Commons license that SCP uses is fine w/ that, but Wiki Staff would like to confirm that this high profile of a project is respecting the CC BY SA 3.0 License.

Out of respect to my former peers and collaborators on #scpwiki, I'm not giving a dime or even a cursory glance to #A24 /Spooky Pictures/Nation Studios' "V/H/S: SCP" film. If you value the hard work of the site's creatives who are being exploited and ghosted by these studios, you should do the same.

SCP article critique/vote comments are by and large the most unnecessarily brutal, holier-than-thou, I'm-so-smart-look-at-me, unhelpful, overly subjective, garbage-ass "constructive" comments I've ever had the displeasure of reading.

Is no secret that I am a writer for the SCP wiki, and wrote a few articles (SCP-4110, SCP-4298, SCP-5112 and SCP-8460), but I also recently came back making logos for Mobile Task Forces too.
So here what I made #SCP #SCPWiki
Italian Squadra Speciale Mobile-XIII "Arca Foederis", deals with parareligious stuff or so I got told Unnumbered SSM "Guardiani del Faro" (Guardians of the lighthouse), deals with stuff in a yet-to-be-written SCP in the SCP-IT branch. Recreation of a fan-made Mobile Task Force Nu-1 "We The People", headcanoned as anti-riot Mobile Task Force.

This is what happens when you put a CSS span module in the #SCPWiki ACS module.

It breaks it horrendously.
An SCP document not actually hosted on the main wiki. It demonstrates what happens when you put a CSS span into the ACS module. I've since fixed this. https://dusks-stuff.wikidot.com/scp:aic

In light of recent #scpwiki discussions regarding deletions and thresholds thereof, I have decided to get a little silly with it. The result: my most controversial post to date.

scp-wiki.wikidot.com/my-reasoned-...
STOP ASKING FOR DELETION PURGES WE ARE NOT "RUNNING OUT OF SLOTS" BECAUSE WE'RE NEVER RUNNING OUT OF INTEGERS turns out you can just keep counting up! watch this: 10K 11K 12K 13K 14K 15K 16K 17K and so forth. YEARS OF "GROWING AND CELEBRATING THE SITE", yet POOR DISCOVERABILITY can leave stuff buried for YEARS in favor of Overexposed Bullshit but everyone loves PEANUT! everyone loves FOUR FUCKING PIXELS! everyone loves [LEGACY AUTHOR HERE]! dw baby they will be safe forever from those scary Underread and Underrated articles. Popular stuff is never Mid I promise Want to express your dissatisfaction with a bad SCP? We have a tool for that. It's called DOWNVOTING "There are TOO MANY SCPs! Nobody could read them all. We should delete the ones people haven't read, because those are FAILURES and the writers should Get Gud" - Statements dreamed up to torture authors in Skinner boxes until they die of shame LOOK at the nonsense on display. THIS is the kind of logic we're dealing with (These are FICTIONALIZED versions of Real Mental Gymnastics, EXAGGERATED for satirical effect): "If your work is unpopular, we'll delete it. And if it isn't popular ENOUGH, we'll delete that too." ??? "If your work is popular, we'll keep it! Even if you want it removed, after you leave! It has become too important to THE LORE of this site which has NO CANON" ????? "Like THAT ONE USER'S articles. We had to keep those for a long time. Historical significance. Not all these, though! Written by nobodies. We can toss 'em. We should toss 'em" ???????? "We haven't tried changing the mainlist range limits, or the contest system, or fixing the discovery system, or incentivizing readership, or even really acknowledged how those issues feed into each other. Just let us delete hundreds of articles. Please. We promise they're just taking up space. We promise they're mostly bad, and shouldn't be on our super exclusive creative writing forum for genre nerds obsessed with metrics. We promise this will improve the overall quality of the site." Absolute foolishness, never support
