A UP SD70ace with burned US flags on the sides, a result of excessive heat from dynamic brakes and prime mover issues. It's entirely within their constitutional right to do so, obviously, it just looks tacky. The post-2001 decision to put them on the units in the first place was a bad idea, and how we see why.

The EMD SD70M-2 is a modified version of the SD70ACe to match government standards. It wasn't particularly popular, and was only purchased by Norfolk Southern. Florida East Coast, and Canadian National.

UP SD70ACe 1982 (Missouri Pacific Heritage) has been destroyed in a switching accident at Bellmead Yard in Waco, TX. The incident happened at approximately 3 am this morning (Jan. 7th) according to preliminary reports from UP and the NTSB.
