My older sister got a Brothers #SE700 for her birthday!
It's pretty easy to make files for it, but definitely not intuitive 🤣

It basically goes -> make PNG -> use random free SVG converter website-> open in Inkscape -> Save as .PES -> done

I started with a Brother PE900. Brother makes a pretty solid embroidery machine. It had all the hoops I needed to get started and learn. Another option is the Brother SE700 Its a little more affordable. But I've never used it so im not sure what it comes with. Hope that helps. Upgrade from those 😀

Womanslayer (brother SE700) is at least more reasonable than my Janome. I can’t get that Janome working right, jerk

i use the brother se700! so it’s a combination sewing and embroidery machine with a 4x4 hoop. my mom got it for me for my birthday this june so i’m just learning how to digitize files now that i’ve gotten the hang of how to use the machine!

Ended up with the Brother SE700. Figured if I have to buy a new sewing machine might as well get a hybrid machine. So now I can make embroidered patches and sew! AND IT HAS AN AUTO BUTTONHOLER AND WIFI.

Going to try to fix the CS as a backup...and because I can feel my boss from GSTQ judging me
