Massive accretion trend at HWS (9.2 m/yr) due to the onshore movement of sandbars increasing beach levels. HWSs have moved seawards by around 177m since 1992. This is a 2012 report above figures 2009 (two adjacent units), huge amount of deposition since then +9.2 meters per year.

I seem to have spent many years wandering in the small hours thru the run down streets, but now is the first time I have thought of these jewels as like a necklace of ideas & experience.

Almost every day for four terms in office CM Kshama Sawant got death threats. Many of Seattle Councilmembers got them, the women, after a vote related to a basketball stadium. I think since this is a stone wall it's not the same bit as got the extra protection a few years ago (concrete and a bonus wall seawards). But, the waves could have been starting at a level 70cm higher if the same storm had come on a bigger tide.

The predicted tide (before weather) on Friday was a moderate spring tide of 5.45m (local chart datum). With the right lunar alighnment, spring tides at Newlyn can reach 6.17m.
The same storm with unluckier timing would lead to water levels 70cm (2 feet) higher, and waves reaching further inland.
