Un mese fa ho comprato un miniPC Beelink SER5 con Ryzen 7-5800 su Amazon a 309 euro. Includeva uno sconto di 110 euro, e il prezzo originale era di 419 euro.
Oggi, con il Black Friday sta a 319 euro + uno sconto del 5%.
Ovvero lo stesso IDENTICO prezzo che l'ho pagato senza il Black Friday 😎

Excited to share our latest paper, now online in Molecular Cell. First, it shows that the RNAPII-CTD kinases CDK9 and CDK12 are Ser5-Ser2 kinases. Secondly, it describes the activation mechanism of CDK12/13 by PAF1C complex. Congratulations to David López Martínez and coauthors!

Nice, the PC I had before my current one was a Beelink SER5 mini PC and the performance was pretty good, it had a power supply issue though. I was mainly playing older games on it but I maxed out some older AAA games

Goal is to build an arcade cabinet, but if the pi can't handle the games I want to stick on it (mostly touhou) then I'll have to use my Ser5 probably...

It's a little sucker, about 10 cm x 10 cm x 5 cm, but it replaces a tower PC about 20 times bigger.

Unfortunately my stream ending abruptly because my laptop just completely froze AGAIN.
It keeps doing it.

Upgraded them to a beelink ser5, with a 512GB NVME drive, and a 512gb samsung evo sata ssd.

But you absolutely can find something that you can game on and use as a PC for less than $1000, and you can always upgrade a lot of them down the line when prices come back down. My ser5 works well enough for anything that isn’t a very graphically intensive game. And you can always install steam OS!
