Am Sonntag startete in Sfax in Tunesien ein Schlauchboot mit 56 Menschen. Wenig später verlor es Luft und lief voll Wasser. 6 Männer und 4 Frauen überlebten in einem kleinen Beiboot, in dem man vor Lampedusa auch 6 Tote fand. 40 Menschen wurden nicht mehr gefunden. Wir dürfen uns nie daran gewöhnen.

Am 7./8. November wurden 52 Menschen getötet, als die tunesische Nationalgarde ihr Boot rammte. Ein Fischer rettete 23 Überlebende und wurde gezwungen, sie auszuliefern. Sie wurden nach Sfax gebracht, dann in der Wüste ausgesetzt oder libyschen Menschenhändlern übergeben.
