SFEX2+ disc came in the mail so I should hook up my PS1 and play around with it soon, along with Zero Divide 2.

I can kinda relate because I like A2 CC for its shorter combos but A3 and SFEX2 Excel, while really cool for its potential, sucks to practice and watch

It sucks that since A-Cho died, we’ve stopped getting SFEX2+ footage. I don’t think any of the other arcades really had a scene for the game, please let me know if I’m wrong & theirs an arcade that streams it

Hell, arguably SFEX2(+) is one of the best to ever do it. You get funny gimmicks like Homerun King/Tiger Storm/Garuda's Sword Combo needing perfect timing, or the entirety of GAMBLE OF DARUN. Some of them don't even waste your time like Super Skullo Energy lol.

I'm still a bit upset because despite how badly KOFXI was ran Thursday was so solid it gave me motivation again to want to do KOF/SFEX2 lobby nights. The weekend feels like one step forward ten steps backwards. Lost all my momentum and confidence for no fucking reason

Even then I think you can point to games like UNIB (2012), SFEX2 (1999) or Alpha 2 or 3 (1996, 1998) for similar applications for "slow the game down" mechanics, though Xrd's is more present.

Not sure of the format they were published in (I'd assume VHS or DVD) but the combo videos Arika put out for vanilla SFEX2 as well (which were recorded off arcade hardware I think??)

I haven't done KOF2000 lobby nights in a bit but I think I'll priotize SFEX2 next for obvious reasons. Hopefully my executive dysfunction funk rn won't last and next month I'll do more than just stare at my computer listening to anime openings

honestly, the solution I always liked is going the route of SFEX2 and Alpha 2/3
Yeah, your combos are pretty much very simple but here's a resource you can spend to do crazy ones that might be way more optimal, but are also mostly harder to pull off

I forgot but also, lobby nights with both KOF2000 and SFEX2, and also get something going with the One Piece Super Grand Battle X scene too
