I was hoping for Carowinds. Can you imagine the wait times at SFMM for that?!?!
October 30, 2026 at 2:03 AM
Truthfully: this does take the sting off X2's closure a little bit. I thought we'd be years away from another major world-class coaster after Thrill Glider.

This move is dumb in so many ways, but given SFMM is my home park I'm in no position to complain.
The Orange County Register has released an article announcing that ArieForce One is headed to Six Flags Magic Mountain. We have not received additional details, but look forward to an official announcement from the park.

That part ALREADY HAS AN RMC I-BOX ROLLER COASTER! That park ALREADY HAS ANOTHER COASTER CURRENTLY IN CONSTRUCTION!!

There are SO MANY OTHER PARKS that could use this ride more than SFMM. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS HAPPENING?!???

While I greatly enjoyed ArieForce One, I don’t feel SFMM is the best fit

On the other hand, I’m guessing they are still reeling from the X2 closure, delays of the new ride, as well as closing Superman, and desperately wanted a new attraction quick

All new video!

We all know by that Arie Force One is coming to Six Flags Magic Mountain but where in the park could it go, and how long will they keep the name?

I don't know if "mad" is the right word, but SFMM seems like it's awaiting a true, big custom Cedar Fair-style ride (see also: Tormenta, Bakunawa, Rakshasa, etc).

AF1, which was more notable for being in a dinky FEC and having low wait times/thoosies marathoning the ride; maybe lost in translation?
October 30, 2026 at 11:49 AM
I was pretty sure it would go to SFMM. They need coaster count to keep up their reputation and getting this was just a quick way to get a +1.
October 29, 2026 at 10:07 PM
I do not care that Arie Force One is going to SFMM. Given my body's unwillingness to get along with RMC trains, they are not an asset for me. Straight up.

I will continue to hope I get another ride on Ninja & Viper before they are inevitably removed instead of even one ride on AF1. Sorry not sorry.

My doubts has been SMASHED the entire time, Its nice to get more airtime and relentless RMC elements that socal doesn't have, but coaster type wise is that it won't be much of a different experience than twisted colossus! I am grateful to have plenty of ejector airtime! So cheap! I still like SFMM.

By the way ever wondered where the least frequented bathrooms in SFMM are in case you need to take a private shit? Look no further
October 19, 2026 at 4:33 AM
Thing two: If your home park is Knott’s, you cannot get a season pass to Fright Fest, which would’ve made the nightly repurchase moot. I go into it more in the thread, but if you’re an avid SoCal hauntgoer I’m on the verge of recommending making your home park SFMM for this.

Also, news to me, SFMM has done away with the handstamp for good. No more Lemon Pledge on the fist.
October 17, 2026 at 11:29 PM
Yes. They normally do just European news, but when something that gains a ton of clicks happens outside of Europe they'll use their "made by Europeans" card to still post about it. Same with their post on Thrill Glider, which was already known to open in SFMM first.

It's funny that Goliath uses exactly the same color scheme as the one at SFMM, you would think they could have some consideration for the sickos trying to mentally distinguish them

Never been to Georgia, or indeed most of the American South! It looks a lot better in the uniform blue, though.

The one at SFMM is a great coaster (also, very briefly the tallest in the world!) but the one thing I don't like about it is that it's kinda ugly lol

They even covered the employee lot at SFMM! If either company here doesn’t want to cover more than a bit to provide premium parking, at least cover the CM/TM lots where there’s no expectation and excuse of oversized vehicles!

Apparently the rumor mill thinks Ninja is next to go, possibly along with the other attractions that use the back of the hillside. An SFMM with no Arrow rides remaining seems possible within ten years.

Maybe the unspoken part of today's announcement was that Ninja and Viper got a longer reprieve?

RIP X2. For years you were my favorite ride on the west coast, even if the last couple curves always made me question riding again. But there's nothing else in the world like that first drop.

I even got the LA Times to officially recognize X2 as the best at SFMM:
