Loving these two aerial shots of San Francisco's waterfront ways from the @sfplanning Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessment.

-Great Highway with wide beach
-Embarcadero with piers, transit

What do you notice? What's the same, what's different?

It's getting very complicated. They're sorting it into various "duplicated" files. One will contain all amendments and come back up Nov. 3. The other one will only have Sup. Mandelman's amendment about merging lots that must go back to @sfplanning. That one will come back to Land Use by Dec. 1. 😵‍💫

"What we have done in #Copenhagen is to make the people who use the city visible and to document what is going on:...how long they sit...how many café chairs we have....as if we were traffic engineers." - Jan Gehl

@myrnamelgard7.bsky.social says "some people are trying to make this procedure into a political attack." She will not move amendments into the main plan if they're deemed "non compliant" or "substantive" by the city attorney -- which means they would have to go back to @sfplanning for more vetting

Most govt regs are designed to preserve the status quo. But to save small businesses in the COVID crisis, govt must focus on its mission and quickly adapt. Last few weeks of #SharedSpace approvals, thanks to @sfplanning @sfpublicworks @sfoewd @SFFDPIO @LondonBreed and BOS members
