Lots more bands incoming from SFTOC 2026
A few bands at a local pub for us today but also have Get Together to come and Bearded Theory festival. Two or three other gigs along the way so yes,musical May works. Enjoy SFTOC.

... which is honestly good to hear, Supersonic what a great festival. The marketing for 2026 SFTOC is top tier, Salford is having a moment, every band booked should really benefit which is the point!

I do get and agree with some of your comments about the new music showcase festival scene in general, but SFTOC could not be further from all that. I think in spirit if not musically its closest sibling would be something like Supersonic.

I would also disagree that SFTOC is a "new music showcase" (aside from the ghastly corporate connotations of the phrase eg shit fest like Great Escape) it's never been or marketed itself as such. You get all sorts from newcomers to perennial outsiders to veteran alternative legends.

That's how it's always been as far as I know, and I know quite a few people involved in the independent orgs under that *very* loose umbrella. Salford alternative arts scene has always been v decentralised and actively empowering. Now Wave just list SFTOC on their site because they do a stage.

Well so this is good to hear, that's a more decentralised way of doing it. Now Wave list SFTOC under their umbrella so the management structure isn't transparent to me... SFTOC have further split themselves down, thus: fromtheother.com

SFTOC has been around longer than Now Wave, I honestly don't know if they run the whole thing these days (I always thought it was its own thing and they were just one of many curators) but stage lineups are still curated by different independent promoters who put on what they like.

Anyone going to #ManchesterPsychFest? Thoroughly recommend #DuBlonde. Saw them at #SFTOC and they were great. When I last went to psych fest, the queues were mad and you couldn't change venues easily. Is it still like that? www.manchesterpsychfest.com/2025
