Mossman was part of an SLDF force I took took to SA4, which ALSO included a Kanga! I had a lot of fun with that one.

The SLDF has always been an ideal, something to strive for, but rarely meets expectations. It was the stick the Star League used to "include" anyone they wanted.

Having the SLDF expand beyond simply "the Star League had more money than sense" to justify the often bare bones descriptions provided on the original House books was pleasing to see, if even with the retroactive theft-I mean downgrading of Com Guard Second Army to a homage of SLDF Twelfth Army.

4th day of #mechtober Can't say too much about the SLDF as I've never spent too much time learning about them. That being said, Randall N. Bill's trilogy, 'Founding of the clans' helped a lot understanding the SLDF and General Kerensky, at least in their last moments in the IS. #battletech

I'll use today to share a sleeper hit pack - while the 1st league forcepack I loved the instant I heard "Atlas II", the 3rd Battle Group I became enamored with the Excalibur and Malice as I painted them up and read about them, had to play with 'em immediately!

Goliath Scorpion Seeker, driving an updated Highlander 732, which used to belong to an SLDF Gunslinger. Kept the paint pretty basic to just try to focus on the basics, drybrushing, edge highlighting, panel lining, etc.. am pretty happy with the canopy though.
